about

The artwork for this single is "Drowning with our eyes wide open" by Seattle's Serrah Russell.

"Hold the Light" is a meditation on some of the processing I went through in dealing and listening to all of the trauma in regards to AAPI racism. The chorus of this song came together quickly after the events of the Atlanta area shooting this year. As we continue to sow in sorrow, one hopes that one day soon we can reap in joy.

"Broken Pieces" is an instrumental that I recorded almost 12 years ago. I kept trying to get it on an album but it never seemed to fit until now. It felt like the right song to balance with "Hold the Light".
