Liminal

about

This song came together very quickly. As I mentioned earlier, that word “liminal” seemed to be wherever I turned. It felt like it was the the theme word for this current generation, and I wanted this song to be sparse and minimal in its approach. I’m really pleased with how it kicks up near the end with the additional drums and percussion. It takes awhile to wait for the payoff, but I still enjoying listening to that part.

lyrics

Liminal
It's all I know
Liminal
You reap can't sow

We're neither here nor there
Now and not yet
You feel the empty breath
Caught within the data sets

Stand and deliver
Or sit and resist
Accept all your shame
Or I'll swallow your fist

Liminal
It's what I know
Liminal
You reap can't sow

We're lost in the static
We raise up to kill
We're deep in the message
We're all out of thrills

Liminal
It's what I know
Liminal
You reap can't sow

Liminal
It's all I know
Liminal
Can't reap and sow

Neither here nor there
Just points inbetween
Neither here nor there
Just points inbetween

Liminal
